Want You More
Chris Breheny aka Moncrieff grew up loving Soul and Blues music, his sound is a modern spin on these genres – driven by his stadium-sized vocal. He’s a talented musician and singer with alternative songwriting sensibilities, combining gritty Blues and Urban Pop influences to create a genre he refers to as neo-noir-soul.
Moncrieff was the youngest child in a family where both his older brother and sister, Hugh and Laura, passed away from cystic fibrosis at the ages of 19 and 21. He was barely 16 when laura died, music became more and more important as an outlet, a way to deal with loss and the emotional turmoil.
Moncrieff who initially played in a cover band but eventually moved to London to really focus on music and his craft at just 19.
Moncrieff has been working as a recording artist and honing his craft in London over the past few years. He’s worked with some huge artists in that time – most notably when he earned himself a role as a backing vocalist for Adele.
