Nova

Originally formed in February 2018 under the moniker of 'Noize' after the Slade song, Nova was the product of a rebirth within the band in the summer of that same year.

Nova consists of lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter Fionn Marum, lead guitarist Matt Carroll and bass guitarist Joshua Brennan.

Nova released two well received singles, 'Slip Away' and 'Up To Fate', in December 2018 followed by a five track EP entitled 'Electric Waves' in March 2019, which has received airplay in both Ireland and the UK. The band have played shows and festivals around Laois and the surrounding areas since forming, such as in the Dunamaise Theatre, Old Fort Festival and Spring Fling Festival.

Inspired by band such as the Arctic Monekys, The Smiths, Oasis and The Stone Roses as well as bands such as Nirvana and Rage Against The Machine give the band a wide variety of influences in their music, which they try to pull together to form something entirely unique to them.  

Nova are set to release their latest single 'You Got It' on July 5th, 2020.
