The Original Rudeboys, now known as O.R.B., are an acoustic pop/hip-hop group from Dublin, Ireland. Renowned for their unique fusion of hip-hop and indie influences, they captured the hearts of fans with their raw, heartfelt lyrics and infectious melodies. The group consists of Sean "Neddy" Arkins (rap vocals), Robert Burch (guitar and vocals), and Sean "Walshy" Walsh (ukulele), with additional live support from Ciaran Donnelly (bass) and Alan Connon (drums).
O.R.B. initially gained recognition in 2011 with their viral debut single, "Stars in My Eyes," which earned widespread acclaim and national airplay. Their debut album, This Life (2012), debuted at number one on the Irish iTunes Charts and achieved platinum status, solidifying their place in the Irish music scene. With performances at major venues like the Olympia Theatre and festivals such as Oxegen and Reading & Leeds, they became a household name.
Their sophomore album, All We Are (2014), further showcased their versatility, featuring hits like "Feel It In Your Soul" and "Never Alone," the latter released as a charity single for Console Ireland to promote suicide awareness. Despite announcing a hiatus in 2016, O.R.B. made a triumphant return in 2020, releasing a string of singles, including "Hypocrite" and "Better Days."
In 2024, the group delighted fans with their single "Fragile," their first release in nearly four years. Most recently, on 26 January 2025, O.R.B. dropped their highly anticipated single, "Big Boys Don't Cry," which explores themes of vulnerability and emotional resilience.
