We Are Ghosts
VINCI are five mates from Dublin who overcame adversity and unwittingly saved each other from individual struggles they would only discover later.
From jobs lost to the recession, to being cut out of a record deal by childhood friends, to challenges with depression and anxiety; just a couple of years ago, each member of VINCI found themselves turning their back on music and giving up on the dream of following in the footsteps of great Irish bands like Kodaline, The Script and U2.
Today, VINCI have two critically-acclaimed singles with the same Irish producer behind Kodaline and The Script, the first ever music video at Dublin’s City Hall where U2 once tried to film, an invitation from, and performance for, President Michael D. Higgins at Aras An Uachtarain, and the ears of the industry perked to their anthemic, stadium-ready sound, rising out of shared struggle, grounded in working-class drive and embodied with their motivation and fearlessness.
VINCI derives from the Latin “vincere” meaning: to defeat, to beat, to overcome.
