Oasis Add Two Extra Reunion Shows at Wembley Stadium Following "Phenomenal Public Demand"

Wednesday 4th, 2024

The Gallagher brothers have responded to overwhelming fan demand by adding two additional shows at London's Wembley Stadium in September 2025, and have addressed concerns over dynamic ticket pricing.

Oasis, who are embarking on a highly anticipated 2025 reunion tour, have announced two new UK dates. Their original slate of shows sold out swiftly on Saturday, August 31st, with eager fans queuing for hours to secure tickets.

Now, Liam and Noel Gallagher have revealed two fresh dates at Wembley Stadium on the 27th and 28th of September 2025. Tickets for these shows will be sold via a staggered, invitation-only ballot, with priority given to fans who were unsuccessful in last week’s sale.

Taking to social media on Wednesday, September 4th, the iconic Britpop band shared:
"Two extra Wembley Stadium shows have been added due to phenomenal demand. Tickets will be sold by a staggered, invitation-only ballot process. Applications to join the ballot will be opened first to the many UK fans who were unsuccessful in the initial on sale with Ticketmaster. More details to follow."

An official press release echoed the sentiment, explaining:
"Inevitably, interest in this tour is so overwhelming that it’s impossible to schedule enough shows to fulfil public demand. But this ticket sale strategy will make the process far smoother for fans by reducing the stress and time it takes to obtain one of the hottest tickets of our time."

According to Oasis' PR team, more than 10 million fans from 158 countries attempted to purchase tickets in last Saturday’s sale.

In addition to the announcement of new dates, the band also addressed widespread criticism regarding Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing system. A statement clarified that Oasis had no involvement in the pricing strategy:
"It needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used."

The band acknowledged that discussions between their promoters, Ticketmaster, and management had intended for a fairer ticket-buying experience, with dynamic pricing meant to help keep general prices down and curb ticket touting. However, the execution of this plan did not meet expectations.
"All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand, this became impossible to achieve," the statement added.
